Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings

Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings is the official program through which you must plan weddings, commitment ceremonies and vow renewals that will take place in the Disney theme parks or at one of Disney's resort hotels at Walt Disney World Resort.

While Disney's official program offers beautiful and elegant weddings, it is expensive. 2008 prices start at $4000 for a very small and simple wedding with no more than 20 guests, including the bride and groom. Larger weddings start at $10,000 and go up, up, up.

Other Weddings at Walt Disney World

Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings program is not the only game in town if you want to be married at Walt Disney World.

It is actually possible to have your wedding on Disney property, but not through the Fairy Tale Weddings program. You can even have Disney characters at your reception!

How, you ask? Simple. There are some hotels that are located on Disney property but not owned or operated by Disney. Because they are on property, they can provide Disney characters for events. But because they are not owned by Disney, they offer completely different (and much more reasonably priced) wedding packages.

Royal Plaza Hotel in the Walt Disney World Resort offers spectacular weddings and receptions at reasonable prices.

Doubletree Guest Suites in the Walt Disney World Resort and Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort host weddings and receptions.

Weddings are also offered at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels.
